About Us

The ACTS HIV Ministry was founded in the year 2000 to spread the Gospel of Jesus through ACTS retreats to men and women affected or infected by HIV/AIDS.

ACTS retreats are three-day spiritual retreats, which are led by compassionate Catholic laymen and laywomen. Talks and activities during the retreat focus on adoration, community, theology, and service; from which the ACTS acronym is derived.

The weekend is designed to help the retreatants enter into a new and deeper relationship with our Lord and fellow members from the community.

This retreat is a powerful and enduring personal conversion experience that allows retreatants to feel God’s love and joy.

The ACTS HIV Ministry also provides on-going prayer groups, special liturgies, and social activities to continue to provide friendship and fellowship to those affected or infected with HIV.

Mission Statement

THE ACTS HIV MINISTRY DELIVERS THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST

TO MEN AND WOMEN AFFECTED BY HIV/AIDS IN THE UNITED STATES AND WORLDWIDE.

Our target is men and women affected/infected with HIV/AIDS.

Our vehicle is the ACTS HIV weekend.

Our purpose is to develop, grow, and minister to this population through organized prayer meetings, monthly Mass, and other activities to foster a vibrant, supportive, faith-filled community of believers that clearly lets the Light of Christ shine to the wider faith community.  Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in Heaven. Matthew 5:16

Our goal is to conduct retreats and develop such communities throughout the United States and World.

Our means are to

o    Utilize the talents and resources of our community.

o    Seek out necessary resources, funding, and expertise beyond our community.

o    Partner with existing organizations with comparable goals.

The ACTS HIV Ministry falls under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
